by Freddy Tran Nager, Founder of Atomic Tango + Veteran Networker Who Hates Networking…
I love networking. Most of my jobs — particularly in teaching — have come via people I met in other contexts.
And, yes, I hate networking. More exactly, so-called “networking events”…
I explain all this and more in the vodcast (video podcast) below with musician and fellow USC Annenberg adjunct professor Bobby Borg. I met Bobby, of course, by networking: we connected on LinkedIn long before he came to USC.
Note: We conducted this interview months before coronavirus became a household term and terror. Thus, you’ll see us handshaking along with images of crowds not social distancing at events. (The horror, the horror…)
Also, most networking for the next few months will likely take place online. Yet whether you do it on LinkedIn or Twitter or some other digital platform, the rules still apply. Find out more by hitting play below…
Now if you liked that and want to hear more, check out my earlier interview with Bobby about competition. And please do subscribe to the Atomic Tango blog (at right) to never miss a beat.
