I haven't used MySpace in ages, I prefer facebook, and it has plenty of great online games to keep me satisfied. I agree with you that MySpace should focus on some kind of music only social network.

So does this mean Tom is no longer the most popular guy on the internet!?? What will he do without all his hot stripper friends?

Myspace could actually be used as an example of why too much freedom can be a bad thing. I mean didn’t they see Spiderman..."with great power comes great responsibility!"

One of the mistakes myspace made early on is they allowed people to create tons of "hacks" to use on their profile pages. This was cool at first but not everyone used this power for good! Hackers don’t gain respect for creating dancing bunny rabbits, they gain respect by melting your profile page and using your name to market porn and other sick shit to your friends.

As boring as facebook is, they have that bitch on lock down! At first I thought it was lame and some kind of right wing conspiracy to destroy creativity. Now, I realize its just smart programming! I have yet to receive a request from a porn star or have my profile used to market some kind of Mexican donkey show. Just a few things that were becoming a daily occurrence on myspace.

While I like your idea of creating a right wing social network, I’m not sure it would work. First of all the network would have to follow some very strict guidelines.

1. It must be Christian based

2. You must customize each page so that each individual user gets ONLY the preferences they desire. (It cant be a universal set of preferences, that would imply “sharing” and that’s anti American)

3. The user interface needs to be so complex and confusing that no one can explain it in a way that makes sense… as a matter of fact no two users should be able to figure it out and use it in the same way.

4. The network needs to imply its open to everyone, say something like “the friendliest and most balanced network on the internet”…

5. It will need to have some kind of scanning system built in that rejects certain people...mostly people that have an imagination! ;)
