My suggestion: If you&#039;re friends with an editor / producer at a major media outlet, have them state in an email that they automatically toss out poorly written press releases. Keep that email in reserve and send it to clients who insist on corporate banality. Nothing will change their minds faster than the image of money being tossed in the trash.

So as a B2B copywriter and marcom consultant, how do we go about broaching the subject with our clients.  I&#039;m as guilty as any of writing releases like the one you describe because that&#039;s the way the client wants it.  Although I have been successful recently by suggesting a different opening paragraph that&#039;s search optimized.  This way word selection is based on keywords and what really matters as opposed to meaningless superlatives.  It works... sometime.
